BOOKTALKERS book club for grades 5 and up challenges you to put your backpack and travel with us to some of the most interesting corners of the earth. If you enjoy reading and talking about books, join us at the FARMINGTON PUBLIC LIBRARY on WEDNESDAY MARCH 31ST AT 4PM. There will be interesting activities and food from out mystery location, as well as great new books to explore. Bring answers to the 3 questions below to entere the drawing for prizes! Bring your mates and have fun! 1) THE LARGEST DESERT ON THE CONTINENT OF AUSTRALIA IS OUR DESTINATION THIS MONTH. WHAT IS THE NAME OF THIS DESERT? 2) AUSTRALIA IS HOME TO SOME UNIQUE WILDLIFE. CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING WILD CREATURES AND FIND 3 INTERESTING BITS OF INFORMATION ABOUT IT TO SHARE WITH THE GROUP: KOOKABURRA, TAIPAN, NUMBAT, CORROBOREE FROG, QUOKKA, OR POTOROO. 3) IF YOU WERE LIVING IN AUSTRALIA, YOU MIGHT COME HOME FROM SCHOOL AND MAKE A VEGEMITE SANDWICH OF A SNACK. WHAT IS A VEGEMITE, ANYWAY?

Spring Story Time February 1 - May 6, 2010. The story time at Farmington Public Library is Monday's at 10:15 am. This is a program for 3 and up. Families, daycare groups, and schools are invited to join for the stories, music, art activies and lots of fun!
