Description

Farmington is governed by a Mayor and City Council who are elected by the people of the City. The Mayor and City Council acting together are the Governing Body. The eight council seats are elected from four wards within the city; with two representatives from each ward. The Mayors term of office is four years and each council member term is four years (as of 1-1-19). The Governing Body, being the elected representative of the people, adopts all ordinances and resolutions and determines the general goals and policies.

City Ordinance Posting

The five places new city ordinances are posted: Farmington City Hall, Farmington Public Library, Farmington Fire Dept., Farmington Senior Center and Farmington Creekside Park.
